Our Magical Kickstarter Journey Came to an End 🪄

With the help of 1521 backers we reached a total of €72,711! We are absolutely speechless and we wanna thank all of you for supporting Grimoire Groves! 💖 To say it in the words of our four elemental spirits:

Together we made a big splash, making this campaign a huge success 💦

We promise that we are doing everything to create a rock-solid game 🪨

and burning with passion to bring all these amazing features you unlocked to the game 🔥

Speaking of unlocked stretch goals...

Today we also reached the €70'000 stretch goal! Which means we will be able to create 20 additional cool boons to enhance the spells in the game. How exciting! The boons are one of our favorite parts and since it's also a great way for all players to personalize the game towards their own preferred playstyle, we are extremely happy that we get to create even more of them thanks to your help!

What will happen next?🤔

So you probably are already wondering what will happen next! Well, we hope if it's ok if we will rest for some days first 🙏This last month was super exciting and invigorating, but we also worked a lot of weekends and nights to create the best possible campaign and also to be there for all of you, to answer all your questions and chat with you on our Discord. So the whole team hopefully deserves some days off to enjoy the summer and to regenerate 😊

But don't worry, you will hear from us again very soon! After Kickstarter is done processing all the pledges, all of you will get mail from us 💌 You will get a survey about your rewards; so everyone who got personalized items will get to talk to us about their wishes and everyone who got a t-shirts will be able to chose their color and size!

Hello everyone 👋

Alright, we are in the last few hours of this campaign, and wooow, you all just have been amazing 💖 I know, I'm saying that over and over again, but it's really true! 🥰

In the last few days we reached stretch goal after stretch goal, and we are so happy that we will be able to bring these things to the game thanks to your support! So let's have a look at the freshly unlocked workbench and the remaining stretch goals:

The Newly Unlocked Workbench 🛠️

As we mentioned in yesterday's update, you will be able to create woodworking and crafted trinkets at the workbench! As with the cooking minigame, not all villagers will like the same gifts, so you have to find out their hobbies and passions first! Maybe Beri will like a scented candle? How about a cute bird house for Dendron? Or a new chair for Sami's tavern?

Will We Unlock One More Stretch Goal? 🤩

Now, as we have unlocked stretch goal number 7, there are only 4 more remaining. Truly, we wouldn't have thought that we would get this far, so thank you everyone! Thanks to you we can bring so many fun things to the game! As we are in the last few hours of the campaign, let's just have a quick look on what the remaining 4 stretch goals will be:

• €70'000: 20 new and unique boons to boost your spells with! If you have played the demo, you probably came across these cool boons that enhance your witch magic. Each of them boost your spells and abilities in their very own way, and mixing and matching them can unlock powerful combos! With this stretch goal, we will add 20 unique boons on top of what we have planned for the game. As always, we love to hear your ideas!
• €80'000: A second playable character! Have you ever wished that you could select which witch you would like to play as? Each with their own special traits? Well, in that case, this stretch goal is for you!
• €90'000: Have you met the huge plant in our demo? Grimoire Groves will feature a whole range of these challenging, yet very rewarding magical creatures. With the 90k stretch goal, we will be able to add more of them to the game!
• €100'000: Co-op multiplayer! As always, great things are always better when enjoyed together with friends. And we think that this also holds true for games! It's always been our dream to make Grimoire Groves playable in 2 player co-op mode. As this is a ton of work (and therefore very expensive), it's always been just a dream so far. If we reach 100k, we can make this dream a reality!

A Few Words Before the Campaign Ends...

Well, this will probably be our last update before the end of our Kickstarter campaign. And we just want to tell you: This has been absolutely incredible! We are 100% over the moon with all your amazing support, and wow, have you seen what y'all made possible? New places to explore in the game, new cute characters to meet, and of course, bringing the game to Nintendo Switch! 🤯🤯🤯

We Reached the Air Biome Stretch Goal in a Breeze 🍃

Y'all are just amazing, thank you so much for your continuous support! So here are a few words about what you will get in the Air Biome:

Get ready to meet the mysterious Air Spirit, visit Cedric the Centaur at his workshop, and get ready for a whole bunch of new, super cute plant creatures - which of course also means new fruits, new recipes and new objects you can craft! 🔧

Stretch Goal 7: Workbench Minigame! 🛠️

If you have played the demo, you probably found the cooking station where you can cook tasty treats for your favorite forest villagers. With the workbench minigame, you will be able to create woodworking and crafted trinkets! Of course, this minigame will come with its own fun crafting mechanics. So for all the crafty people out there, let's hope we will reach stretch goal number 7 at €65'000!

Grimoire Groves Art Contest Raffle Winners: Announcement Tomorrow! 🎉

Stretch Goal 5 Reached: Beri Will Join the Grimoire Groves Cast! 🐶

Hi there, it's us again 🐶🐶🐶

I know it has just been a day since our last update, but well... I have to do another one today because we reached Stretch Goal 5 in just one day! 🤯

Meet Our New Villager, Beri! 

Well everyone, this is Beri, the Cerberus! Her full name is Berea, which stems from "bearer of victory", but her friends can call her Beri. While a cerberus certainly is a bit scary (and maybe "bearer of victory" is a bit scary too), Beri is the opposite. She's a bit shy and her favorite things are drinking tea and reading books. She lives in the fire biome, so if you are exploring it, be sure to visit her! She probably will love to talk about her favorite books and drink a cup of tea with you! 🫖

Community Reward Unlocked: A New Water Plant Will Get Added to the Water Biome! 💧

Actually, we not only unlocked Beri, but also one of our Community Rewards: After our update yesterday y'all have been joining our Discord server, and well, we reached this reward in no time! Stretch Goal 6: Unlock the Air Biome! 🍃

I surely also hope you are not tired of new stretch goals and new things for the game yet! Because after we unlocked Beri, we are heading for the next goal: The dreamy air biome! That means there is a whole new region to explore, with new plant creatures, new objects and new wonderous places where you can meet your favorite forest villagers! Speaking of forest villagers: The air biome is home to Cedric, the Centaur, so you will even be able to visit him at his workshop! ⚒️

Sneak Peek for the Grimoire Groves Collector's Edition 👀

And I have one last bit of news for you: After we added the Nintendo Switch versions to our reward tiers, we also have a little sneak peek of our collectors edition:

There will be an artbook, 4 super cute elemental spirit pins, the game's OST, as well as a sticker sheet with all the cutest plants, objects and mythical creatures. Of course, everything comes in an exclusive box as well. Honestly, we are sooooo excited about this and we absolutely can't wait to get this box. This will be the first time that one of our games will get a collector's edition 🤯 Thank you everyone for making this possible! Without all of you, there would be no collector's edition!

We made it! With over 1000 amazing supporters, we reached the Nintendo Switch goal! Thank you so much everyone 💖

With that, we have amazing new tiers and add-ons for you!

If you want Grimoire Groves for your Nintendo Switch, there are a whole bunch of cool things to chose from. Here are our brand new Nintendo Switch tiers:

• Digital S*Witch for a digital Nintendo Switch copy
• Physical S*Witch for a physical Nintendo Switch copy
• Special S*Witch for a Nintendo Switch Collector's Edition

If we reach €50'000, we can add another forest villager to the game for you. This time, who the villager will be has to stay a secret for a bit longer. But I can already give you a tiny hint: 🐶🐶🐶
